What is Faith in Action Weekend?
Faith in Action is a weekend for us as a church to live out our mission of building Gospel bridges to Starkville and beyond. We don’t do our “normal” thing in order to serve our community and share the hope of the Gospel.
We have projects for you to choose from on both Saturday and Sunday! On Saturday we will offer two projects in the morning and mid-afternoon for you to choose from. Sunday is our big day! We’ll meet at Bridgeway @ 9:00AM for a short devotional service and then head out to serve our neighbors! All Sunday projects start approximately at 10AM and end around 12:00-1:00PM.
Can Anyone Take Part in Faith in Action Sunday?
Faith in Action Sunday is open to everyone, whether you regularly attend Bridgeway or not. Want to come and make a difference with us? Sign up today to to help us spread Gospel bridges right here in Starkville!
We will working to help cleanup our neighborhoods and beautify local schools, making goodies for local nursing homes, delivering snacks to local businesses, and a multitude of other projects! You can see a full list of projects available on the sign up registration form.
We provide childcare for birth through age 5. We also intentionally design most of our projects to be kid-friendly so that parents can bring their children along and serve together!
Like any other Sunday at Bridgeway, you can wear whatever you are comfortable in. However, we highly encourage you to wear clothes that will comfortable and cool to work/serve in. Shorts are okay, t-shirts and sneakers are encouraged! If you have a Bridgeway t-shirt, we'd love for you to wear it!
Most of the time we will have all the tools that you need for your projects, however, if any special tools or needed or if you need to bring anything a team leader will be in contact with you before you arrive that morning.
Saturday, April 27th:
10:00AM - 12PM - Touch-A-Truck and Feed my Starving Children
12:00PM - 2:00PM - Touch-A-Truck.
Sunday, April 28th:
8:30AM - Check in begins
9:00AM - Devotional Service
9:30AM - Teams Gather
10:00AM - Projects Start
12:00-1:00PM - Projects End
Not at all! In fact, our hope is that you'll choose one day to serve and then enjoy the other day as a true day of Sabbath (or rest)!
Absolutely! If you serve with us on Saturday, you're welcome to join us for the our devotional service on Sunday!
